"The Biggest Loser" Can
Help You Win This Summer
Interested in creating a fun and supportive heath focused event this summer? After a wonderful Staff Appreciation Day, several staffers came up with the idea of forming an eight-week session of a "Biggest Loser" type program. The program will be held on at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 in PE 15. 15 Needed for Weight Watchers Group Tuesday
A Weight Watchers information meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 17 from noon to 1 p.m. in Salazar 2022. The information meeting gives Weight Watchers an opportunity to provide a general overview of the program as well as complete and collect membership material and payment from interested employees.
This is a prepaid program and payments may be made by check, credit card, or cash. An installment check option is available to members joining no later than week two. WW must collect from 15 members for the leader to return the following week to begin the series. The SSU group will be offered a 12-week program at $144 (summer option only). Venona , the leader, will not bring a scale to the information meeting and it should take about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
Free Stability Ball Classes at Rec Center
Campus Recreation invites all employees to attend a free Stability Ball class offered from noon-12:30 p.m. on June 18 and 25 in Niagara Studio in the Recreation Center. Stability balls, also known as balance balls or Swiss balls, can be incorporated into Pilates, weight training and many other fitness routines. These exercise balls have become an extremely popular way to increase core balance and abdominal fitness. This class will incorporate all of these fundamentals and take a maximum of 25 people.
