The State of the Economy Panel
A free panel discussion with SSU economics professors called "The State of the Economy Panel: Roots, Issues, and Solutions to the World's Financial Problems" is set for Mon., Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Union multipurpose room.
This special panel discussion features professors from the School of Business and Economics, including Florence Bouvet, Robert Eyler, Douglas Jordan, and Michael Visser, who are experts on both domestic and overseas economic issues. Their views and opinions on the current state of the United States' and worldwide economies is on featured to bring about a better understanding of the events in the country's economy.
The public is invited to attend. The hope of this interactive event is that the audience leaves with some of their most pressing questions answered and some new tools to cope with today's changing market.

Election Central
Associated Students Productions (ASP) and the Student Union present Election Central, an election night gathering to watch the real-time results of the 2008 presidential and local elections. The event is on Election Day, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Student Union. Admission is free for everyone.
Those in attendance will witness live results of the election, complete with multiple big-screen televisions, games and refreshments. Each room of the Student Union will be filled with facts and speakers on election-related issues, as well as information on the propositions of the California ballot. Included in the festivities is a student panel on ballot measures, speakers on American civics and politics, and life-size images of Senators McCain and Obama for photo opportunities.

It Matters! Presents Post-Election Discussion
