Accessibility Technology Initiative

AccessibilityThe Accessibility Technology Initiative (ATI) is the California State University commitment to providing access to information resources and technologies for students and the University's public with disabilities (physical, sensory, cognitive, learning).

ATI serves as a roadmap for ensuring accessibility based on state and federal law. Sonoma State University supports the idea of an equitable environment for all diverse students, employees and others who interact with us. For more information, see http://www.sonoma.edu/accessibility/.

Many information and training opportunities will be available throughout the year to assist faculty and staff move toward accessibility for students. One such training opportunity is for LecShare Pro, which allows you to add audio to Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to create QuickTime movies, MPEG-4 Video files (Video Podcasts), Accessible HTML, and Microsoft Word documents. You can either record audio through a microphone or import audio files. SSU now has a complete site license of LecShare for all faculty and staff computers. Contact IT at helpdesk@sonoma.edu (or 4-4357) for installation of LecShare.
