Making Accessible Word Documents

Learn how to create documents that are accessible to people who use  assistive technology. This hands-on workshop will cover:

Accessible Technology • What is an accessible Word document?
  • Creating meaningful structure
  • Accessible tables
  • Alternative text for images
  • Modifying styles
  • Good linking practices
  • What NOT to do

Faculty, staff, students and student assistants are welcome. Anyone who creates Microsoft Word documents that are distributed electronically to the SSU community should attend. This training is presented by Barbara Moore (IT) and Christine Hayes (Library).
