Employees Continue to Support SSU
Currently, six percent of staff and faculty donate to SSU via payroll deduction to the SSU fund of their choice. One such donor is David Hartranft, Administrative Coordinator for Academic Programs and Graduate Studies.
Hartranft has directed his payroll deduction to the Dr. Richard A. Rodriguez Memorial Fund which supports SSU students' initiatives that help reduce acts of stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination and racism, in order to create a safe learning environment that promotes social justice for all.
About his donation Hartranft says, "I am blessed to have known Richard "Rico" Rodriguez during his all too brief time at SSU. I valued not only his friendship, but also his deep commitment to serving students and promoting diversity, inclusivity, and social justice. Contributing to this fund is my way of honoring his memory and furthering diversity efforts at SSU."
Such donations to SSU directly and positively impact students, faculty, schools, departments, programs and the overall mission of Sonoma State.
Tax receipts were sent this week to staff and faculty who donate to Sonoma State via payroll deduction. The receipts went via campus mail this week; be sure to check your mailbox.
If you have any questions about your receipt or to sign up for payroll deduction, please contact Janet Hankes in University Development at janet.hankes@sonoma.edu or x4-3343.
