New Scantron Device Requires 9-Digit Student ID

SSU/IT has upgraded the scanner used for scoring tests as the old scanner has become obsolete. The new device requires a 9-digit Student ID be penciled in on the 200-question, General Purpose Scantron Answer Sheet.

The "Identification Number" field is located in the lower left hand corner of the form. Faculty and students should note there are ten spaces in the "Identification Number" field. The tenth space (box "J") should remain blank (see example below). Departments may continue to pencil in the student name, but it is no longer required.

Please direct concerns or questions to the Help Desk, at 4-4357 or email helpdesk@sonoma.edu.
