The next time an account password expires the user will be prompted to update their password or password phrase using these new standards:

Information Technology has posted Tips for creating good password phrases on the IT website. Note: Do not use a person's name, birthday or social security number. These changes affect LDAP, Solar and Lunar, and the services using those accounts: SSU email, WebCT, CMS, workstation/ domain logins, MeetingMaker, IT and Library computing labs, WiFi login, Graymail and SpamAssassin, and access to some SSU websites.

Other SSU computing services may use these new standards in the
future. Questions about the new password standards or assistance in changing your password should be directed to the IT Helpdesk
at helpdesk@sonoma.edu or 664-HELP (4357).
