Shepherd Bliss Reads From His Chapter of the Anthology, "Enduring War: Stories of What We've Learned"
Shepherd Bliss, psychology, will read from his chapter in the new anthology, "Enduring War: Stories of What We've Learned," published by the University of Hawaii Press, at Copperfield's Books in Sebastopol.
He will be joined by Chester Aaron, retired college professor, who also has a chapter in the book.
The international anthology is a 175-page issue of the literary "Manoa Journal” - a collection of writing from around the world, with compelling photographs. The writings address issues such as storytelling, farming and healing.
Bliss also has a chapter in the Sierra Club Books' "Ecotherapy: Healing with Nature in Mind," scheduled for publication in May. His chapter is called "In Praise of Sweet Darkness," which is an excerpt from a book he is currently writing.
Bliss will read at
Copperfield's Books (138 N. Main, Sebastopol) on Thurs., March 26 at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
