Last week Rick Luttmann, professor of Mathematics, once again took part in the "Dr. Luttmann Fashion Show and Math Club Fundraiser." As Luttmann said, “I have, as you noticed, a pension for eclectic dress," which is evidenced by the photos above. The fundraiser was very successful and will likely be repeated next year.
Town Hall Has Something for Everyone

Sonoma State University is holding a series of town hall meetings on various topics throughout the 2008-09 academic year. All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend to learn more about the University, how it is structured, and the decision-making processes. Information and advice gathered at these meetings will be shared with the appropriate group(s).
The next Town Hall Meeting is on the budget and is in Schulz 3001 on April 2, noon to 1 p.m. Some of the areas to be covered include:
- What, if anything, happened in regard to the stimulus package on April 1?
- Where do we go from here? Discussion of the May 19 ballot issues.
- What do we know at this point about the 09/10 budget in terms of health care costs, student fee increases, clarification of a hiring freeze, and salary issues?
- What does all of it mean for students who will be registering at the end of April?
- What is the situation with the hiring of permanent faculty?
Also, at the April 2 Town Hall Meeting we will revisit the brainstorming strategies suggested to increase revenue and lower debt.
The remainder of Town Hall Meetings for this semester are:
- Town Hall Meeting on the new faces of Research and Sponsored Programs at SSU (Apr. 8)
- Town Hall Meeting on WASC Accreditation (Apr. 30)
- Town Hall Meeting on the Budget, Session 5 (May 21)
