The 2009 Staff Appreciation Day is Thurs., June 4, beginning 8 a.m. at Zinfandel Dining Services. Below are some activities planned for the day, but for all details, including RSVP information, visit the Staff Appreciation Day website. Staff Appreciation Day is presented by Employee Services.
• Animal, Vegetable, Mineral Photo Contest
Ever played 20 questions? This year's photo contest is taking a spin off the traditional and always entertaining game. Photos are accepted into one of three categories: Animal, Vegetable, or Mineral. Winners are awarded for Best, Funniest, and Most Creative Interpretation of the Category. Additional entry details are located on the 2009 Photo Contest Flyer. Deadline to submit photos to human.services@sonoma.edu is Fri., May 29.
• New Sessions
More volunteers are needed to present sessions for the day! Many new sessions are being lined up as well as some popular ones from previous years, including Cantonese Mah-Jong, Salsa, tours of Tuscany and new developments in the GMC, the always popular tunnel tours, and delicious food presentations. For those who would like to lead a session or have any suggestions, contact Jaime Russell at jaime.russell@sonoma.edu.
• Book, CDs, DVDs and VHS Swap
The Book Swap last year proved to be a great success. This year, it is expanding to include CDs, DVDs, and those ancient VHS movies. Stop by the table outside Zinfandel to drop off collections or pick up something of interest. All items remaining at the end of the day will be donated to the YWCA Women’s Shelter.
