WASC Educational Effectiveness Review Report
SSU is now in the final phase of its WASC Accreditation effort, which is the Educational Effectiveness Review (EER). The final report is complete and can be viewed on the SSU Portfolio website, which can also be accessed directly from SSU’s homepage by clicking on “WASC Accreditation.”
Mark your calendars for the EER Team Visit, which takes place Wed., Oct. 7 through Fri., Oct. 9. There are plans for an opening reception and Poster Session highlighting SSU’s efforts in “Educating the Whole Student,” the theme of the WASC accreditation effort. As the itinerary for the visit is developed, it will be posted on the SSU portfolio, along with updates to the EER report and other materials. New Directors Elected to SSU Alumni Association Board of Directors
The Sonoma State University Alumni Association has announced the election of four new members to its Board of Directors. Kelly Bass, Molly Rattigan, Vincent Cortese and Elaina Hunt have been elected to represent Sonoma State University Alumni.
Kelly Bass, elected to the Executive Committee as Vice President, is a 2003 graduate of Art History and is currently the Marketing and Public Relations Manager for the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce.
Molly Rattigan, also elected to the Executive Committee as Vice President, is a 2002 graduate who received her B.A. in Political Science. Rattigan is currently working as a Senior Management Analyst with the Napa County Executive Office.
Vincent Cortese has been elected to the Executive Committee as Treasurer. Cortese received his B.A. in Communications in 2000 and is currently the Banking Center Manager, Assistant Vice President at Bank of America.
Hunt, who will serve a two-year term as Board Director, is a 2005 graduate. She received her B.A. in Business Marketing. Hunt is currently Acting Director of Marketing for Summit State Bank.
The Alumni Association is committed to providing service to Sonoma State University alumni, as well as encouraging their lifelong relationship with the University. Since its inception in 1961, the Association has developed a variety of programs and services for the benefit and enrichment of SSU’s more than 53, 000 alumni. In May, the Sonoma State Bookstore and Sonoma State Enterprises gave away ten textbook scholarships totaling $3000 for fall textbooks! Ten lucky students each received a $300 textbook scholarship.
