Anonymous Donors Bestow SSU with Steinway Piano

Sonoma State University received a generous donation last week from an anonymous Sonoma County family. A 9-foot Steinway Concert Grand Piano, estimated to be worth $115, 000, was delivered to the Green Music Center Concert Hall on Wed., August 12. The American-built piano was inspected from top to bottom by a representative from Sherman Clay. According to Jeff Langley, Performing Arts, it is rare to find a piano of this quality that has already been in use for the period of time needed to allow it to produce at its highest level of excellence. A new piano must be used for awhile in order to be at its best. "We were very lucky to have these generous community members donate this to us," says Langley.
