Find Help Finishing Writing Projects with the Faculty Writing Program

Writing ProgramFor those with scholarly work to do, conference papers to revise, articles to write, or chapters to draft, the Faculty Writing Program may be a solution to finishing those projects. Participants may choose from three separate seminars that meet every other week to discuss members' scholarly writings in progress. Seminars are held on different days to accommodate faculty's diverse schedules. Perfect attendance is not a prerequisite for participating in the program.

The seminar experience is collegial and non-competitive, and provides a safe environment to explore ideas and receive thoughtful feedback on early work. Occasional sessions are held on topics such as writing book proposals, managing time, and overcoming writing blocks. New tenure-track faculty receive first priority, but all faculty are welcome to participate, and may even join a seminar group that has already begun. For more information, contact Kathy Charmaz at 4-3955 or email charmaz@sonoma.edu.
