Picture of the Week: SSALI Celebrates 30th Anniversary

The Sonoma State American Language Institute (SSALI) is celebrating its 30th anniversary during International Education Week (IEW) on Wed., Nov. 18. SSALI students, pictured above in front of the White House, will present a poster gallery walk of their countries in the Student Union Multipurpose Room from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. as part of IEW's CultureFest. Countries to be showcased include China, Ecuador, France, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Cake and light snacks will be served, and everyone is welcome. Discounts Offered to Veterans, A Small Token of Appreciation

With Veterans Day fast approaching, Sonoma State University would like to take this opportunity to salute our veterans. Their service to their country is deeply appreciated.

As a small token of the University’s appreciation, Veterans will have the opportunity to take advantage of a number of discounts and services offered by the University during the week of Veterans Day (November 8-14). The list below outlines those discounts and services offered for our campus Veterans that week:

• 50% off all items at SSU campus eateries (Charlie Brown's, The Pub, Toast, Zinfandel, etc.)
• 20% off all SSU logo apparel at the Bookstore (excluding clearance items).
• Free Climbing at the climbing wall from the SSU Recreation Center (Check hours of operation)
• Free chair massages from the SSU Recreation Center Nov. 9, between 5-7 p.m. AND Nov. 13, between 12-2 p.m. (no appointment necessary)

To take advantage of these discounts and services, bring military ID, along with SSU ID, to any of the participating locations. Identify yourself as a veteran and an SSU staff member will assist you.

Sonoma State University appreciates all that veterans have done for their country and hopes they will have the opportunity to enjoy some of these discounts and services next week.
