Gathering in Remembrance of Marie Lovell
Marie Lovell, SSU parking supervisor, passed away unexpectedly on Thurs., March 18, following a brief illness and infection. She was 49 years old.
A gathering in remembrance of Marie takes place at the University Lakes on Sat., March 27 from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m., where police officials will retire her badge in an honor ceremony. "She left folks with a smile,” says Chief of Police Nate Johnson. “She very much was a part of the campus community.”
A dedicated mother, wife, and athletic enthusiast, Marie also enjoyed crafts, fishing and playing on the women's pool league at the Wagon Wheel, where she won countless trophies.
Marie Lovell leaves behind her husband, Dean; son, Michael; and stepson, Donald; as well as her mother, siblings and innumerable friends.
