Honor a Woman Student for Leadership Award
The Center for Student, Leadership, Involvement and Service together with the Center for Culture, Gender and Sexuality are now accepting nominations from faculty, staff and students for the 10th Annual Woman Student Leader of the Year. Nominations are due Friday, Feb. 16. The ceremony honoring the nominees will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 27 in the Cooperage. This annual award is presented as part of National Women’s History Month celebration to recognize female students who have performed outstanding paid or volunteer campus service.
It honors leaders in student clubs, campus organizations, student government and academic departments. Nominating a student for this award demonstrates the admiration and respect the student has gained through her campus service. Nominees must also have a minimum Fall 2006 Cumulative GPA of 2.5. A committee of staff and faculty will review the nominations and select a winner. Send nominations by email to heather.howard@sonoma.edu or campus mail to Heather M.
