Tours, Workshops Highlight Staff Appreciation Day, June 20

Learn everything from scrapbooking to tree care, desktop floristry to the exercise ball. Take tours of Darwin Hall, or the Anthropological Studies Center. Bring some of your garden soil for analysis. Honor colleagues who have gone beyond the call of duty.

It is all part of Staff Appreciation Day on Tuesday, June 20 in the Zinfandel Dining Room.

The morning mixer starts at 8 a.m. and includes announcement of the Staff Excellence Award recipients. Workshops begin at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. Afternoon displays by staff, and workshops, start at 2 p.m. Download the full schedule.

School of Science and Technology Tag Sale

The School of Science and Technology is holding a "tag sale" of unwanted furniture and other items for ONE DAY ONLY. See what's available to put a "tag" on this Wednesday, June 14, 2:30-4:30 p.m. only, in the fenced area of Lot D. Items are restricted to University use only. No items may be removed for personal use. One the item is tagged, Henry Amaral and his crew will begin moving the items. All moving will be complete by Monday, June 19.

Staff Award Nominees for Outstanding Contributions to the Campus

The University sends a hearty congratulations to the following employees who have been nominated for the Staff Excellence Award for their outstanding contributions to the campus community. Two of these employees will be recommended by the Excellence Awards Advisory Committee as recipients of the award. The recipients will be announced at Staff Appreciation Day on June 20 at the morning mixer. The nominees are:

On-Campus Job Fair, June 29

Career Services is providing an On-Campus Job Fair this summer to connect on-campus departments with incoming work-study students at Summer Bridge. Reserve the date from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on June 29 in the Cooperage. Approximatly 85 students are expected to attend, most of whom have significant work experience.

To reserve a table to represent a department for upcoming student job opportunities, respond by June 15 to Tina Balderamma at assistaj@sonoma.edu. To reserve a space, send a confirmation e-mail to Balderamma with the contact information of the person who will be at the Fair. For any questions about this event, contact her at 4-2196.
