Professional announcements

Two stories and two essays by Gerald Haslam (emeritus, English) have appeared in anthologies this spring: "Condor Dreams," in 'Califauna: A Literary Field Guide' edited by Terry Beers and Emily Elrod (Berkeley: Heyday Books, 2007); "People and Geography" in 'Our Valley. Our Choice.' edited by the staff of The Great Valley Center (Modesto, CA: The Great Valley Center, 2007); "The Doll" and "Oildale" in 'Highway 99' (Revised Edition) edited by Stan Yogi, Gayle Mak, and Patricia Wakida (Berkeley: Heyday Books, 2007). His collection, 'Haslam's Valley,' was honored with a 2006 Josephine Miles National Literary Award from PEN Oakland.
