Taking the tour of the Green Music Center

Staff from the Center for Performing Arts got a peek at the construction of the new music education building on the Green Music Center site recently. GMC Executive Director for Operations Floyd Ross discusses the acoustics of the building. Ross will lead tours of the site after Convocation in the late afternoon on Aug. 17. Below, is an look at the interior of the main concert hall facing the stage area. More than 5,200 yards of concrete have been poured to this point. The next step is to install the 96 ft. roof trusses which are expected the last week of August. A new crane will arrive to lift the nine trusses which will support the roof.(Photos by Linnea Mullins).
