Exhibit Unveils Oral History Project of Women's
Movement in Sonoma County

The stories of women involved in the contemporary women's movement as it played out in Sonoma County from 1960 to 1985 is the subject of a new exhibit at the Sonoma State University Library Art Gallery from Aug. 15-Sept. 28. "A Fine and Long Tradition: Stories from the Contemporary Women’s Movement" is funded by the California Council for the Humanities' California Stories Initiative and is coordinated by Michelle Jolly, Professor of History. Jolly leads a discussion on Sept. 20 at noon in the library. A reception for the project will be held in the University Library Art Gallery later that day from 5-6:30 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. MORE

YOUR PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS: MAKING A CAREER MOVE - Strategies, techniques and new technologies that can help in making a career move is the subject of a mini workshop sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Career Center on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 4:30-7 p.m., Salazar 1061. Reception 4:30-5 p.m. Free for alumni, $15 for non-Alumni. ANNUAL COSTUME SHOP SALE - Whether you fancy your style grunge, chic, sophisticated, retro or outlandish, the upcoming costume sale is likely will have just that perfect garment to round out your wardrobe. For five days, from August 22-25, the Evert B. Person stage will be transformed into one giant clothes rack. Actually 28 clothes racks to be exact. AUDITIONS FOR CHORAL GROUPS - The Sonoma County Choral Society invited interested singers to join in the first rehearsal of the upcoming semester and sign up for auditions with various choral groups on campus.
