Jorge Porras, Modern Languages and Literatures, delivered a paper at the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Annual Meeting in Salamanca, Spain (July 28-August 2, 2006). The paper, titled "Los Villancicos de Sor Juana: Hacia un analisis (para)linguistico de la oralidad," dealt with a linguistic analysis of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz's Christmas Carols, and the roll they play in the oral literary tradition of the Hispanic World.
