Dr. Tony Apolloni, currently the administrator for SSU's California Institute on Human Services (CIHS), is the new Associate Vice President of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). Apolloni will retain administrative authority of CIHS while also retaining his position as tenured professor of political science.
The ORSP supports SSU faculty and staff in their efforts related to externally sponsored research, public service and scholastic activity. The office will provide a scope of services designed to enhance the success of both faculty and staff in pursuit of internal and external funding opportunities. Services will include identifying opportunities, providing advice and assistance in program development, proposal writing and budget development, and post-award management of on-campus mini-grant programs.
