Sonoma State University and Project Censored host an evening of informational presentations and film on the U.S. and NATO in Kosovo. The presentations are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15 in the Evert B. Person Theatre. Tickets are: $6 for adults and $3 for students. All are welcome and no one will be turned away.
The guest speakers are Michael Parenti, author of America Besieged, History as Mystery and Democracy for the Few. Gloria La Riva, producer of the award winning documentary, Sanctions In Iraq will show her new film NATO Targets In Yugoslavia. Shani Rifati, Director of Voice of Roma and Rom peace activist will also be among the guests as well as Leslie Kane, moderator and producer of Flashpoints with Dennis Bernstein on KPFA.
The evening is sponsored by Voice of Roma, Sonoma State University Sociology Department, SSU Project Censored, and the Sonoma County Peace and Justice Center. All proceeds from this event go directly to the Roma refugee aid.
