More than $300,000 in scholarship and talent awards were given to 472 Sonoma State University students this year.
More than 250 scholarships, many offering multiple awards, have been set up for Sonoma State University students by individuals, organizations and businesses in the area.
Donors and recipients were acknowledged at SSU's 21st annual Scholarship Reception on October 15.
"The scholarship reception provides us an opportunity to thank the scholarship donors who make it all possible and to publicly acknowledge the accomplishments of our students," said Kay Ashbrook, scholarship coordinator.
