Class of '96 Norco Senior High School graduate, Kelly Dahlstrom, has been admitted to UC Berkeley's prestigious Boalt Hall Law School.
Dahlstrom is a senior in the Hutchins School of Liberal Studies at Sonoma State University. She was recently named Sonoma State University's 2000 Woman Leader of the Year. The annual award, presented during National Women's History Month, recognizes female students with a record of outstanding campus service and leadership.
Dahlstrom has served Sonoma State University in numerous capacities. She was elected president of the Class of 2000 during her first semester at Sonoma State. Since then, she has worked for Residential Life, Summer Orientation, Freshman Seminar, Project Censored and Pre-College programs. Dahlstrom also volunteered with the campus peer education program, tutored for the Associated Students' community service program, and has been a Student Ambassador since 1997. She has been on the Dean's List six of the past seven semesters and was awarded the Jacqueline Strain Scholarship two years in a row.
Off-campus, Dahlstrom volunteers with the YWCA in Santa Rosa aiding domestic violence victims. After law school, she plans to become a public interest attorney.
