"The Bay Area's Next Big Quake--will it be on the Rodgers Creek Fault?" David Schwartz of the U.S. Geological Survey will give a talk on Thursday, November 9 at noon in Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center, Room 1121.
David Schwartz is the person responsible for the prediction that there is a 70% chance of a destructive earthquake hitting the Bay Area in the next 30 years. He has done research on the Rodgers Creek Fault and is presently the coordinator of earthquake prediction research in the Bay Area.
