The Computer Science Department at Sonoma State University plans a College Bowl competition in a game show format at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, on the Sonoma State University campus in Room 1002 of Stevenson Hall.
The computer trivia competition between students, professors, alumni and industry professionals will consist of two rounds, two teams per round. An "acronym" playoff will be held as t he bonus round.
Questions for the contest will be taken from all aspects of computer science, history, current events, companies, entrepreneurs, internet stats, says George Ledin, chair of the Computer Science Department at SSU.
Ledin is looking for both contestants and for questions. Interested persons should e-mail him at george.ledin @sonoma.edu or call 664-2667.
"Questions should have precise answers of no more than four words. Along with the right answers, provide three wrong, but convincing answers," said Ledin.
