Sonoma State University has recently partnered with CommunityCoupon.com to direct local business dollars toward University programs. The CommunityCoupon.com program allows shoppers to contribute to the University when they shop at participating merchants when they present the member card at the time of purchase. A portion of the sale is donated directly to Sonoma State University's programs.
"All parties benefit from the Community Coupon.com program in bringing commerce and the community together to raise money for the students of Sonoma State University," said Lance Plaza, director of corporate and foundation relations.
The following SSU programs benefit from the partnership: alumni activities; intercollegiate athletics; library acquisitions; student activities; the schools of Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Education, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences; and student scholarships. Current faculty, staff and students, as well as alumni living in the local area have received their CommunityCoupon.com membership cards.
