The SSU Bookstore has created an online student texbook exchange located on the web at: http://bookstore.sonoma.edu/textbook/exchangedefault.html
SSU students may post their textbooks for sale or exchange with other students, reports SSU bookstore manager Ken Brown.
"This site is provided to alleviate some of the concerns that our students have about the prices that they are offered when selling their textbooks back at the end of a semester," Brown said.
Unlike the local store on campus, located at 1801 E. Cotati Ave, Rohnert Park, the new internet service offers SSU students the ability to bypass the normal buyback process and deal directly with their fellow students, according to Brown.
"We are extremely pleased to be able to offer the Sonoma State University community this convenient service," said Brown. "Visitors should also bookmark the site and check back frequently for special promotions and sales and watch for the opening of our "online" textbook sales site for the Spring 2001 semester."
