Sonoma State University's 15th Annual World of Work Career Fair will connect students and alumni with more than 125 businesses this year, says organizer Corey Seemiller.
The largest and most comprehensive career recruitment event at SSU is slated for Thursday, March 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University's main quad area on campus, 1801 E. Cotati Ave., Rohnert Park.
Seemiller, coordinator of Career Fairs in the Office of Career Services, said the fair is geared towards both those preparing to graduate and those just beginning their higher education.
She believes the fair will give students the opportunity to network and see the opportunities that are available after graduation. It will allow the younger students to find out about placement opportunities and internships as well as ask questions regarding education requirements.
World of Work will offer SSU students and alumni the opportunity to discuss their future career plans with representatives from various fields such as business, high tech, non-profit, and communications. More than 500 people attended last year.
