How to Restrict/Release FERPA Information
Follow the directions below if you wish to access your Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) page, check your status, and make changes to restrict or release information:
- Log in to PeopleSoft
- Click on CMS-HRSA
- Click on Self Service -> Campus Personal Information -> Privacy Settings (see figure 1 below).
- On this page you can view your FERPA status, read more about FERPA, and click on "edit FERPA directory restrictions" to make changes (see figure 2 below).
- On the "edit FERPA directory restrictions" page you'll see two choices, "restrict all fields," and "release all information." Choose one and be sure to SAVE.
