RESIDENTIAL LIFE ORGANIZATIONS

reslife organizations

The following two organizations are key components of residential life:

National Residential Hall Honorary

NRHH is composed of a select group of student leaders. Based on the national rules, membership is limited to the top 1% of the residence hall population. NRHH provides leadership recognition programs during the academic year.

Residential Student Association

The Residential Student Association is a student organization comprised of residents who coordinate activities and events for the residential community. Trips to San Francisco, Alcatraz, Ski Trips, Musicals, Baseball Games, and Great America are examples of some of RSA's yearly activities. Annual events like the Fall Casino Night and Spring Luau are also sponsored by the Residential Student Association. There are also weekly programs such as Dances, Lip Sync Contests, Karoke, Talent Shows, and many others. Last year alone, RSA was involved with over 100 programs for residents.

RSA also tackles issues affecting people who live on campus. Last year alone RSA was asked to provide student input on safety and security issues, campus construction concerns, lighting concerns on campus, recreational space, parking costs, and etc.

All residents are encouraged to get involved with either RSA or through Village Councils. Involvement meetings for RSA and for Village Councils will be held during welcome week. Look for signs in your Village!

While all RSA events are open to all residential students, Activity Membership Stickers allow students discounts on all RSA sponsored and co-sponsored events. Last year over $50 in discounts were made available to RSA members.

Membership sticker fees provide nearly 100% of the funding towards RSA and the Village Councils. This year, there will also be a variety of local businesses (All within walking distance of campus) offering discounts to RSA Sticker Holders! The RSA Activity Membership Sticker cost is only $30.00!
