SEAWOLF LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP SERIES

PLEASE NOTE THAT

Univ. 238 is no longer a requirement to apply for Seawolf Leadership positions.

Once hired, you must attend a six week Seawolf Leadership Workshop to maintain the position. The first workshop will be March 23, 2012; attendance is mandatory.

If you have already taken Univ 238 and got a "B" or better, you do not need to attend the workshops.

The Seawolf Leadership Workshop series is a vital part of the overall leadership development program designed for students at SSU. This series provides the critical elements of analytical and intellectual thought, careful examination and reflection of certain core issues in the practice of leadership. Objectives are achieved through open discussion, honest self assessment, experiential exercises and analytical observation of real-life leadership practice. Hands on leadership skill building areas of the Seawolf Leadership Workshop Series are:

  • Public Speaking
  • Facilitation
  • Conflict Mediation
  • Goal Setting/Visioning
  • Communication
  • Community Building
  • Ethical Decision Making
