- If you are not exempt from the EPT/ELM and SSU has not received your placement scores, you may not sign up for your English/math class(es) during course registration at Orientation. If SSU receives your placement scores by second registration, you will be able to register for those classes at that time.

Your Social Security Number - if a problem arises with your username and password
A photo ID
AP and Placement (EPT/ELM) exam scores if not already turned in
- If you are not exempt from the EPT/ELM and SSU has not received your placement scores, you may not sign up for your English/math class(es) during course registration at Orientation. If SSU receives your placement scores by second registration, you will be able to register for those classes at that time.
- If you are a music major: Incoming Music Majors will be given diagnostic placement tests in music theory, ear training and piano proficiency at a particular time and location to be announced.
Any prior course transcripts if not already turned in
Proof of enrollment for any college course you are currently taking
Download and complete the Campus Rec Waiver Form. If you are under the age of 18 you MUST have a parent or guardian sign on your behalf. The evening program includes activities in the Recreation Center and this form in mandatory
If you have not already done so, send proof of required MMR & Hepatitis B immunizations as described in your Admissions Guidebook to the SSU Office of Admission & Records.
Immunizations are available to entering students at the Health Center on a staff & vaccine available basis throughout the summer.
Appointments for athletic physicals are available to new intercollegiate athletes at the Student Health Center from June to mid-August, once the student has been cleared to do so by the SSU Athletic Department. Call the Student Health Center at (707) 664-2921 to schedule an appointment at least two weeks in advance. A limited number of athletic physical appointments may be available between 8:00am-12:00pm on the first day of Summer Orientation, and are limited to student athletes who have to travel a significant distance to campus from outside the local area (discounted fees apply).NOTE: Students may not miss any portion of the Orientation Program to complete their physical examination.
Pack layers - the climate changes from very hot days to cool nights
Comfortable shoes for walking around campus
Personal toiletries - SSU will provide bed linens and towels
- Expectations while you're here:
- Orientation is a substance free program. Possession of alcohol and/or other drugs will result in campus disciplinary action and forfeiting your opportunity to register for your classes while at Summer O.
- You are expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the University while at Summer O. To review the student code of conduct, visit the Judicial Affairs website.
- You are required to remain on campus at all times (including overnight) and attend all parts of the Orientation. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting your opportunity to register for your classes at Summer Orientation and may result in campus disciplinary action.
