NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION & FAMILY PROGRAMS

Parent/Guardian Orientation for First-Time Freshmen

Resources

Advising ABCs (Parent Presentation pdf)

DESCRIPTION:

We welcome students to bring parents/guardians with them to Summer O. Parents/guardians are those special people who will support you throughout your college days. SSU looks forward to partnering with parents/guardians in order to help our students succeed.

Please note:

Parents/guardians will be separate from students for the majority of the Summer O session.

Although we encourage all family members to support the incoming freshmen, we intend this Parent Orientation to be for parents/guardians to attend, as you will be getting important information regarding the changing role of a parent, doing business with campus, and campus services.

Parents can stay right on campus during Summer Orientation in the Seawolf Guest Suites, located in Tuscany Village. For more information please see information regarding accommodations below. A list of local accommodations is available.
