We welcome students to bring guests with them to Summer Orientation. Guests (parents, legal guardians, family members) are those special people who will support you throughout your college days. SSU looks forward to partnering with families in order to help our students succeed.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE FOR PARENTS OF FIRST TIME FRESHMEN*
2-Day Program
Day One - plan to arrive by 12:30PM; the program begins promptly at 1PM- Check-in

- Changing Roles of a Parent
- Break-out sessions by School - Meet the Dean
- Doing Business with Campus
- Dinner
- Parent Panel
Day Two
- Breakfast
- Student Panel
- Breakout sessions: Financial Aid; Advising ABCs and To Declare or Not Declare; Health and Safety
- Lunch
- Breakout sessions: On & Off-Campus Living
- Breakout Session: Disability Services for Students
- University Resource Fair (plan to depart SSU after 5PM; please make travel plans accordingly)

Cost for 2-Day Session: $105 per guestCost for 1-Day Session: $80 per guest
ACCOMODATIONS FOR GUEST
Guests who participate in the 2-Day Sessions need to arrange for lodging accommodations in the local community. Click Here for lodging info.
