As you are aware, many Sonoma State undergraduates are uncertain in their choice of major and career direction, and need guidance in the relationship between their studies and career plans. Faculty who address this in advising their students provide significant support toward their students' success. These are some of the services we offer to support you and your students:

Faculty Advisors can help students expand their knowledge of career options. You can also direct them to resources located in our Career Center, on our website at www.sonoma.edu/sas/crc, and through Eureka, an excellent on-line database describing occupational information and programs of study, at www.eureka.org. Students log in using the SSU Site Code, LNNFUOE, to access this website.

INTERNSHIPS

Internships are becoming increasing important for most students ( as they develop their career direction and prepare for the job market. Faculty Advisors play a vital role in encouraging and guiding students to locate internships that will best serve them in their academic and professional pursuits. Career Services has developed SSU Job Connection, an on-line database listing current openings for part-time jobs and internships. Go to www.sonoma.edu/sas/crc and click on "Search for a Job." Want info on internships or SSU's Community Improvement Program? www.sonoma.edu/sas/crc/experiental.shtml
