Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I fax/mail my job listing or call Career Services to list my job?
Yes. Career Services posts paper listings in job binders in the Career Center, but does not accept job listings by phone. However, employers reach a much wider audience by listing on-line on Seawolf Jobs. Paper listings can be faxed to 707-664-3999, or mailed to Career Services, Salazar 1070, 1801 East Cotati, Rohnert Park, CA 94928. Feel free to contact Career Services at careerservices@sonoma.edu, or (707) 664-2198 if you have questions about job listings.
2. What’s the difference between the "Register for Seawolf Jobs" and "Register for Seawolf Jobs and Post a Job" options?
If you wish to create an account but not post your job right away, select the first option. If you wish to register and post your job at the same time, select the 2nd option. Note, however, that in each case it can take up to 2 working days to approve your registration, and therefore, your job.
3. What do I enter in the "Organization Name" field?
Follow your campus department name with "/SSU", and include your division name, e.g. Art Department/SSU. If you are part of a larger division, enter your specific group name, e.g. IT Computer Labs/SSU.
4. What do I enter in the "Description" field?
You can include a brief description of your department, but this is not a required field. Do not, however, enter the job description here. You will have the opportunity to complete the job description at a later time.
5. I don’t want my contact information listed for applicants. Do I have to provide it?
Yes. You must provide your full name, campus department name, email address, direct phone number, and campus address. When you enter the job description, you’ll have the option to hide any contact details, or provide an alternate email for applications, but we require this information for our records. Your registration will not be approved and access to Seawolf Jobs will be delayed if you do not follow these instructions.
6. How do I change my username and/or password?
Once your registration has been approved and you have received your login information, you can log in to Seawolf Jobs and select the "Account" tab to change your password. Your username will always by your email address and should not be changed unless you are using a new email address.
7. I’ve forgotten my password. What do I do?
Go to the Seawolf Jobs login page and select the "Forgot my password" tab. Enter your email address and a new password will be sent to you. You must then use this new password to log in to any NACElink school site.
8. I tried to register, but received an error message. What do I do?
You have probably neglected to complete a required field, or the email address you entered may already be linked to an existing account. Go to the top of the page to find the problems with your submission. Contact Career Services at (707) 642-2198 or careerservices@sonoma.edu if you need assistance.
9. Can I post my Work Study positions on Seawolf Jobs?
Yes. All work study positions can be posted via the Seawolf Jobs site.
