Dear Sonoma Parent:

Parents and Career Services staff share a common goal - to help your student prepare for and make sound career decisions. Various studies indicate that you are ranked as the number one influence over their job choices. This makes for an ideal partnership.

Students today are offered so many choices and opportunities that often it is difficult for them to decide on "the best" career path to follow. To assist Sonoma students in their career related endeavors, here are a few of the services we offer:

Drop-in career advising

Monday - Friday 10 am to 4 p.m. -- If your student is unsure of their major, experiencing career confusion, interested in an internship, needs a part-time or summer job - send them to us! Career Advisors available.


Career and Life Planning class

This one credit hour, eight week course helps students begin to identify interests, skills, values that are necessary to make major and/or career decisions.
