Art Exhibit Fundraiser for Becoming Independent
There will be an art opening this Saturday, April 19th from 4 to 8pm at the former
A Street Gallery (now called the Gallery of Sea and Heaven). Several of the Sonoma
State professors (current and retired) will be included in the event including
Mark Perlman, Kurt Kemp, Stephen Galloway, Bob Nugent and Will Smith.
Stop by for some food and a live band (starting around 6). A percentage of the
proceeds will be going to Becoming Independent.

DSS is Hosting an Academic Advising Workshop - "Plan for Fall 2008!"
- What: Academic advising workshop hosted by DSS, with topics such as (1) review of GE requirements, (2) how to use "searchable schedule of classes", (3) review steps for enrolling in classes, and (4) hands-on demonstrations.
- When: Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH SAT SIDEKICKS!
What: "Sat Sidekicks" provides SSU students the opportunity to work one-on-one with children with disabilities in physical activity settings. This program is conducted through the SSU Department of Kinesiology.
When: Orientation will be on Thursday, February 14th from 5:00 to 5:45pm in the SSU Fieldhouse. Following the orientation, the actual session dates are February 16th through April 19th. During these sessions, SSU students may volunteer for one, two, three, or four hours per week.
