WELCOME TO THE EOP CLUBDIVERSE STUDENT COALITION (DSC)The DSC (Diverse Student Coalition) formerly known as the EOP club, promotes diversity, respect and unity in the University. As an active voice on campus, we provide support, outreach and social opportunity with the purpose of educating ourselves and others. HISTORYDSC was started in spring of 2001 by EOP advisors and a number of EOP students. The organization was originally named after the program that inspired it, the Educational Opportunity Program. Hence it started as the EOP Club and was recently changed to DSC. The EOP advisors that made the club possible were Corey Seemiller and Matthew Long. Their guidance led us to find our purpose and inspired many of us to work hard towards that common goal. In fall 2001 Greg Nuttle became the organization's advisor. Although the organization has only been in existence technically for one year, it has accomplished several endeavors that coincide with it's mission statements. The students of DSC renamed the organization to mend the problem foreseen with the name being the EOP club. FUTURE PLANSKeeping DSC alive means trying new ideas and sticking to our mission statement. The club has had great discussions about future plans to help us grow and make things interesting at the same time. Spreading the word about us can be accomplished by members of DSC going to university outreach events and informing high school students about us. To recruit Sonoma State students we hope to participate in or hold events that promote our purpose. These events could be of any measure. BOARD MEMBERS
