Chuck Rhodes
Assistant Vice President of SAEM
A member of the residential community staff since 1980, Chuck has watched it grow from 408 to almost 2500 residents. He began his career in Housing as a resident assistant and student leader at Virginia Tech back in the 1960s. Chuck is active in regional and national organizations, and has received two international housing association leadership awards. His interests include multi-culturalism and social justice issues, organizational development, leadership, travel and, most importantly, spending time with his two grandchildren.
Cyndie Morozumi
Director of Residential Life
Cyndie has worked in student services in California colleges and universities for 28 years, 18 here at SSU. Background includes almost every aspect of student services. She has an MS in Counseling from San Francisco State University and a BS from UC Davis in Community Education/Development. Outside interests include traveling, (favorite places are warm weather countries like Mexico and Australia), and being an avid soccer Mom to her wonderfully active daughters. Mo Phillips
Associate Director of Student Development
This is Mo's 10th year at SSU. She started as the RLC for Zinfandel and she now coordinates what she considers to be the fun stuff: staff training, social programs, weekend programs, and the university Welcome Week Events. Mo started her residential life career as a student leader and resident assistant at the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse. Since then, she has worked in residential life programs in Arizona, Washington, and New Hampshire. When she's not working, Mo enjoys monitoring Pop Culture, watching movies and spending time with her two kids.
Marian VanHorn
Administrative Assistant
Marian graduated from SSU with a BA in Management in 1984. She has worked at the university in various offices since, but found her niche in the Residential Life Office eleven years ago. When she's not purchasing something or working on the budget she is at home with her family, watching a movie, hiking, reading a book, or dancing to her favorite Cajun Band Gator Beat.
Sarah Skillman
Sauvignon CommUNITY Co-Op Coordinator
Hello, my name is Sarah Skillman. I will be the first ever Sauvignon CommUNITY Co-Op Coordinator. I graduated from the University of Georgia and moved to Sonoma State University with my husband in 2005. At UGA, I was a Resident Assistant and very active with all things Res Life. I'm excited about being able to work with students and to create a positive living experience for the residents of Sauvignon. I enjoy discovering new things to do around Wine Country and the Bay Area. My guilty pleasures include reality tv, celebrity gossip magazines and chocolate.
