Be a part of Sonoma State's newest Living & Learning community, developed exclusively for our second year students. Housed in Tuscany Village, 2Engage will offer programs and services directed at the three topical areas that second year student nationally struggle with: major and career decision, academic skill development, and leadership. Program components will include: onsite career and academic peer mentors, faculty advising, workshops, leadership development, civic engagement and service learning opportunities and internship guidance. Students will have the opportunity of enrolling a specially designed career and major planning course with a second year focus. Modeled after our successful FIG and FYE communities, students will reside together in one of the new Tuscany buildings, providing close proximity to community resources and staff.

Mission Statement
SYE provides an environment that empowers second- year students to refine their personal identity and question their purpose within the academic and greater community. Students have an opportunity to actively engage in a focused exploration to enrich their sense of self (self knowledge), obtain academic success, develop healthy relationships and participate in leadership development and civic involvement.Programmatic Components
Career/Academic Development:
Students will engage in academic/major and career exploration though a number of events- Enrollment in a 2 unit Career and Major Planning Course-University 237

Student will have an opportunity to expand their academic and skill development through a workshops series- academic skill development, part-time jobs,
