Zinfandel Village

Zinfandel Village, opened in 1972, is the first of the villages. This first year village currently houses residents in singles, four and nine person suites. Completely renovated in 1997, the buildings are named for grapes found in the local six-county area; Barbera, Chardonnay, Flora, Riesling, Semillon, and Traminer. Traminer is home to a substance free environment.

The Housing Office, Dining Hall, Zinfandel Marketplace, mailboxes, and the Harvest Room are located in the central quad for this village. Within the village is a heated pool, sauna, recreational fields, study lounge, computer lab, and meeting rooms. Each building also has barbecue cookers for the residents to use.

Josh Skullman

Hello. I recently began working for Residential Life at Sonoma State University, and I am very honored and happy to work for a wonderful department and a first class university. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in History and a Psychology minor in 1999 and then with a Masters degree in Education in 2001. From 2001-2005, I worked at the University of Georgia as a Residence Hall Director and then as an Area Coordinator. I moved out here with my partner in crime, Sarah, and we both enjoy living in Sonoma County. I am an avid runner (think marathons), a huge All My Children fan, and probably the most passionate Indiana University sports fan in all of California. I am someone who enjoys working with college students and I hope that I can help make your higher education experience a success. Please stop by my office in Barbera over in Zinfandel and introduce yourself to me.
