POSITION SUMMARY:

The Domestic Wholesale Order Entry is responsible for managing and facilitating the wholesale order process including input, confirmation, follow up and customer service. This position is the main logistics contact and works closely with the warehouse(s) personnel where our products are shipped from.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order Entry
• Review purchase orders for allocation availability, accuracy of item vintage, item availability, pricing, payment terms and shipping instructions.
• Enter domestic wholesale orders; verifying pricing, free goods and SPAS's.
• Ascertains related data such as ship to, bill to, quantity, delivery, and routing required.
• Ensure order acknowledgement with distributor and warehouse.
• Communicate with distributors based on questions or issues.
• Work with the Accounting Department to ensure the customer placing the order has no outstanding debts with CWG and also to determine the appropriate terms of sale.
• Provide all necessary documentation and special label requirements.
• Create and distribute daily order reports to specific company management personnel.

Warehouse/inventory management:
• Enter and maintain allocations for wholesale regions and distributors in AMS.
• Using AMS, monitor inventory at Biagi to maintain appropriate levels.
• Work with Accounting Department to facilitate inventory transfers to and from Biagi.
• Coordinate with warehouses and/or freight forwarders to expedite Out of State shipments.
• Continue to look for shipping efficiencies and communicate to distributor.

Customer Service / Administrative
• Provide support and correspond with customers and sales force regarding orders, allocation and product availability and limited release products.
• Prioritize daily tasks and projects to meet department needs and deadlines.
• Perform in a fast pace environment using team building skills to handle peak shipping periods and deadlines.
• Maintain work area and customer files in an orderly fashion.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-3 years experience in wine industry with an emphasis on order processing, customer service and logistics.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Exceptional written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized, accurate, attention to detail and ability to follow through is essential.
• Computer proficiency at an intermediate level: Word, Excel, Outlook, and AMS.
• Ability to demonstrate spreadsheet skills at intermediate level.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving, good judgment, and confidence to question status quo to improve controls and processes.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, consolidators, and transportation firms.
• Must be a person of high integrity, commitment and posses a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work independenly and with little supervision.
• Positive and progressive outlook on work and work environment.
• Flexible team player with the ability to interact effectively with other winery departments as well as outside customers and distributors.
