Controller

Diverse and challenging Controller position supporting a group of family-‐owned
medical, winery and retail businesses in the North Bay. The position is located in Napa.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing bookkeepers' preparation and distribution of monthly financial
statements and coordinating financial meetings to review
• Provide guidance on cash flow management and accounts payable
• Financial modeling of strategic business decisions
• Coordinating provision of financial documents to tax accountants and banks
• Managing group 401(k) plan
• Documenting and distributing accounting and HR policy
• Reviewing and negotiating healthcare and other supplier relationships to
achieve optimal contract terms
• A diverse range of other financial-‐related activities supporting the companies
and family
The following qualifications are required:
• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or General Business
• 5 years experience in a financial management role
• Expert Quickbooks user
• Solid understanding of GAAP and cash flow management
• Impeccable reputation and credit history, full background check and local
references are required
• Positive demeanor and strong work ethic
The ideal candidate will have:
• Wine industry, medical business and/or retail experience
• Experience working for a family business
Start Date: ASAP
