"My experience assisting with the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition has been tremendously valuable for my career in the wine industry. When I asked the person who hired me at Sonoma-Cutrer why she decided to interview me she said the mention of my work with the wine competition was something that grabbed her interest and made my resume stand out. I still use the knowledge, information and contacts I got through that experience today as I manage the tasting room at Sonoma-Cutrer. I would recommend this opportunity for anyone who is serious about finding a career in the wine industry." - Mark Elcombe
"Assisting at the SFCWC was infinitely valuable in that it not only allowed me to experience first-hand the comprehensive care the competition takes in making sure the wines are judged in an impartial manner, but I was also able to witness the actual evaluation of wines by a panel of professional judges with a pervasive knowledge of wine. Working in wine sales, the procedural information I gleaned from the SFCWC coupled with the judges wine component evaluation has greatly helped my DTC sales in that I am able to pass on to my customers a strong understanding and appreciation of wine medals and how it can aid their purchasing decisions." - Andrea Gonzalez
