Delicato Vineyards: Assistant Brand Manager, Value Brands

Position Summary:

Under limited supervision, the Assistant Brand Manager performs project coordination and administrative support duties to the Senior Portfolio Manager. This position will deliver top quality programming, creative material, and websites that fulfill our distributors, retailers, and sales and marketing needs in order to maintain strong brand loyalty with our end customers.  Assignments generally involve work of an analytical and creative nature and require strong analytical and communication skills coupled with ability to multi-task and follow through.  The Assistant Brand Manager will have primary responsibility on a rotating basis for one of the following key marketing functions: Point of Sale (POS) management system administration, standardized sales report assembly, and coupon usage tracking/reporting by all brands.

Duties/Essential Functions 
  • Works with marketing and sales personnel to develop and execute regional or market-specific promotions, including special meetings, tastings, programs, etc.
  • Gathers and analyzes internal and Nielsen data to populate marketing and sales PowerPoint presentations 
  • Works with agency and marketing personnel to maintain the online POS catalog and ordering system
  • Works directly with vendors, designers, suppliers, and fulfillment houses to develop and execute POS and programs 
  • Works with marketing, internal ITS department, and agency(s) to ensure that the websites are accurate, up-to-date, engaging, and meet the needs of both consumers and the trade
  • Uploads best press, calendar events, and wine tasting notes on DFV and brand web sites via the admin tools
  • Works with Senior Portfolio Manager, PR team, and winemaking team in the development and production of PR materials and content including social media
  • Receives, processes, and tracks all approved estimates and invoices for value brands
  • Coordinates POS production, distribution, and tracking; liaise with sales, customer service, purchasing, and warehouse personnel

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field 
  • Minimum of  1-3 years marketing and related work experience
  • Wine industry experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills; work effectively with numbers, spreadsheets and detail
  • Adept communicator; strong verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills; effective writer with strong sense of grammar
  • Thrives well under pressure and in a fast-paced, changing environment; a quick study whom catches on extremely fast
  • Strong customer service orientation; highly professional and pleasant disposition; able to diffuse tensions under stressful conditions
  • Highly organized; ability to prioritize and quickly assess what needs to get done; effective multi-tasker.
  • Team player; maintains a motivating and positive attitude
  • Creative, analytical, and self-starter
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in desktop application (MS preferred: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
