Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market: Summer Wine Internship

January 28, 2013 11:39 AM

The Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market is looking for a well-spoken, personable, energetic individual with an understanding of wine and the local wine scene to act as ambassador and cashier for our wine garden for the 2013 season.

The job reports to the WNM Board of Directors with direct oversight on market night by the Market Event Coordinator.  The job requires an individual to act as cashier for the garden, to greet and provide instructions to the wineries pouring and the patrons entering.  It also requires a simple set up of the main entrance.  Each week, in advance of the market, the job will require some research and coordination with the wineries pouring.  The cashier will be expected to be able to discuss the wines and wineries pouring each week with patrons as time and interest dictates.

The job would require about 8 hours per week: 5 hours at the market itself and another 3 flexible hours per week coordinating with and studying up on the wineries.  The market runs each Wednesday for 16 weeks from May 8 to August 21.  If this sounds like you, please email your resume to Valerie Silva vsilva707@yahoo.com .  This would make a great job for a Wine Studies student looking to network with local wineries.
