Structure and Calendar
Program Structure
Mentees meet with the SBE Career Center to begin developing goals and activities to be spread over the 15-week semester. Then at the kick-off event, mentees present their plans to mentors to finalize goals and to schedule activities. A minimum of two meetings between mentor and mentee are held, but partnerships may engage in more activities as they wish, with a goal of meeting a minimum of 10 hours over the semester.
Upon completion of the program and its requirements, a Recognition Event will be held. Mentees/Mentors will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Fall 2012 Program Calendar
- March 20 or 22, 2012 - Stev. 2052: Program Orientation for Prospective Students. Attendance at one of these meetings is a mandatory requirement.
- April 9, 2012: Application Deadline
- April 16 to 20, 2012: Mentee Interviews
- April 27, 2012: Selection Announcement
- August 20, 2012: Mentor Pairings Announcement
- August 28 or 30, 2012: Mentee Goal Setting Meeting (mandatory)
- September 11, 2012, 5-6 PM: Kick-off Event (required for mentors & mentees)
- October 16 or 18, 2012: Mentee Check-in w/ SBE Career Center (mandatory)
- October 2012: Mentor Check-in by SBE Career Center (via email)
- December 4, 2012, 5-6 PM: Recognition Event (required for mentors & mentees)
