Knowledge is confidence. Confidence is the way forward.

An Executive MBA from SSU: a leadership-focused program to put your aspirations on par with expectations.

Now more than ever the North Bay needs leaders. Leaders to show enterprises and our economy the way forward. Meanwhile, your career has shown promise. Seize this moment to add the missing piece--the catalyst--that will put your rising aspirations face-to-face with today's rising tide of change.

Sonoma State University offers two Executive MBA programs, traditional and wine intensive. An Executive MBA from SSU is a fully-accredited  MBA degree. Only delivered with a schedule, relevance, and leadership focus that accomplished working professionals demand.

You'll study with a tight group of like-minded professionals who bring with them similar experience levels. Perspectives on the challenges faced by leaders.

Facilitated by SSU's School of Business and Economics faculty--unique thought leaders who've long bridged academic excellence with business-world relevance--the program will challenge you to think broadly about business: how to lead across the disciplines to move an enterprise forward.

It's in your nature to reach for more. Now's the time to take action.

EMBA at a Glance.

We offer an accredited degree program with the following features:
  • 18 months of alternating Fridays and Saturdays
  • 4 day sailing trip and 2 week international trip included
  • Integrates business disciplines
  • Highlights the challenges and opportunities of our North Bay economy
  • Wine intenstive EMBA program option to accommodate the needs of professionals working in the wine industry
Leadership Practice.

You'll learn about yourself, how teams work, and how to lead teams forward for results in your organization. The SBE EMBA will provide ample opportunity for you to practice your leadership skills. And couldn't we all use more practice fields amidst the day-to-day pressures of executing?

The keystone of this approach is a weekend team-sail experience in San Diego (the cost of which is included in the tuition). You'll work in smaller teams of your cohort with Team Sail: a special group of skippers and leadership facilitators that will challenge your perceptions of leadership and teamwork.

Global Perspective.

The SBE EMBA also includes an international trip you'll take with your cohort. This is not just another opportunity to solidify relationships with your new network. It's a trip that will provide on-the-ground examples of business in our new global reality.

You'll have the opportunity to interact with leaders across the globe. You may speak with expats or tour facilities in emerging economies. You'll experience the challenges of different cultures and norms, and learn how to take into account these differences when executing in your career.

Wine Business.

A wine business EMBA from Sonoma State will help you fulfill your aspirations. Join the ranks of our alumni network from wineries like Sonoma-Cutrer, Gallo, Sterling and Seghesio.

Next wine business cohort starts April 2014. Attend an information session to learn more - RSVP to mba@sonoma.edu.
